IMPORTANT INFO FOR 2020 CHESAPEAKE CHALLENGE
With golf just being opened for play in Maryland, there are certain guidelines in place that must be followed, therefore the 2020 Chesapeake Challenge has been modified to adhere to these guidelines and ensure we are following the rules outlined by the State of Maryland and by Queenstown Harbor to make this a safe event.
Click here for social distancing guidelines.
Tee Times will be assigned to each foursome. Your time will fall between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. You will be notified your tee time by Friday, May 22nd.
Foursomes will be allowed two golf carts. Only 1 person may use any particular golf cart. You cannot share carts or switch riders, i.e. one person in each twosome must walk the entire round. You may put two bags of golf clubs on each cart.
There will be NO TAILGATING or congregating in groups, before, during or after the round.
Bringing your own alcohol is strictly forbidden. We will have stations for you to stock up on your favorite sports drinks, soda, water and domestics adult beverages.
Registration Deadline is 12 Noon on Wednesday, May 20th.
Please include your name, your partners name and both handicaps in your registration.
We ask that you respect and follow these guidelines. We need to be sure we are following these guidelines to ensure the safety of the players and golf course employees. We do not want to put Queenstown Harbor or the status of playing golf in jeopardy.
The Chesapeake Challenge is a Ryder Cup style event between the MAAGCS and ESAGCS. Two players form MAAGCS team will play a best ball match against two players from ESAGCS. 1 point will be awarded to the winning team, with 1/2 point being awarded to each team in the event of a tie. The association with the most points after all matches have been played will be declared the winners of the Chesapeake Challenge and will be awarded the President's Trophy. We intend to have real time scoring via phone apps so you can keep up with the matches. More information to follow.
