Speaker 12:15-1:15  (followed by questions from attendees followed by questions and a short presentation from Newsome Seed)

Lois Caspshaw who is the Chief of the Maryland Department of Agriculture Turf & Seed Section. She will be speaking on seed testing and certification standards and how they differ between states, etc. She has been with MDA for over 25 years and is recognized as one of the most experienced seed analysts in the United States. 

1:15-2:00   Tour the Newsom Seed Facility

To get to Newsom Seed’s facility, use the sign for “Maple Lawn Farm” on Route 216 (Scaggsville Rd). Turn into the actual farm driveway and go all the way to the back to the last building on the right. There is a large lot.

Thanks to Newsom Seed, there is no cost for this day and Lunch will be furnished by them.  We look forward to seeing everyone there.
