Bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management or related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience and a minimum of 2 years experience at a golf course with increasing responsibilities may be substituted in place of the Bachelor’s degree. Maryland State Pesticide and Fertilizer applicator’s licenses or ability to obtain them within 6 months
Under the general supervision of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will direct and participate in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, and clubhouse grounds. The Assistant Superintendent may also serve in the Superintendent’s capacity during his absence. Must be available to work weekends and holidays if needed. Daily Responsibilities will include planning and prioritizing day-to-day operation, oversee chemical/fertilizer applications and irrigation repair, employee training and safety, clubhouse grounds, driving range
