The Country Club of Fairfax is a family oriented, member owned Club that was established in 1947 and is  located fifteen miles from Washington D.C.. It's amenities include twelve har-tru tennis courts ( 3 indoor year round), fitness center, swimming and aquatics center, eighteen hole golf course, driving range and  a modern short game practice area. The course measures  6,700 yards in length. Over the past 15 years the Club has been extremely active in implementing  its Long Range Capital Improvement Plan. First a new pool, pool house, tennis pro shop and fitness facility was constructed. In 2009 a state of the art Turf Management Center and Cart Storage Facility were built and this past year the entire Clubhouse was renovated. Throughout this period of facility updates, a long range plan for the Club's primary asset, the golf course, has been underway. To date, fifteen sets of tees have been rebuilt, a new putting green built, fairway drainage installed, fans added, wells developed, and the gradual conversion to concrete cart paths has begun. In the coming years, major projects scheduled for the golf course include rebuilding  three sets of tees, purchase and installation of a new irrigation system, and a bunker clean out and a re-grassing of the green surrounds.
