Loudoun Golf & Country Club Assistant Superintendent Position
The selected candidate will work closely and report directly to the Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendent will be expected to lead a culturally diverse crew while overseeing and completing a multitude of tasks within a timely, efficient manner. Assistant Superintendent applicants must have substantial insight of golf course maintenance operations and the ability to problem solve situations to achieve maximum productivity.
Looking for a self-motivated employee in a leadership capacity to oversee a crew of 15 plus during peak season. Ability to communicate job tasks in Spanish a plus, however not required. Knowledge of hand watering, calibration, executing fertilizer and pesticide applications, irrigation repairs and troubleshooting are a must. Ability to obtain a Virginia pesticide applicators license within 90 days of hiring.
2-4 year Turfgrass Management degree or related field experience.
Minimum 1-3 years of managing and motivating a golf course maintenance crew.
Management of cool-season grasses in the transition zone desired.
