Assistant Golf Superintendent
Requirements: 3 to 4 years golf course maintenance experience, 2 or 4 year turf or related degree. Current students enrolled in a turf program are more than welcome to apply and will be considered. Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Virginia pesticide license. Individual must be highly motivated and proven team leader.
The Assistant Golf Superintendent would be under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent and Director of Golf and Grounds. Responsibilities include managing and training staff and assisting the golf course Superintendent with the development of the agronomic programs and daily work schedules.
Salisbury Country Club is a 27 hole private facility with a state of the art practice facility and a 1.5 million dollar annual maintenance budget. The club is currently working on a Master Plan to include renovation of all 31 greens and re-grassing fairways on nine holes in the near future. Our goal is to train future Superintendents providing the tools, knowledge and experience necessary to move on to the next level.
