Loudoun Golf & Country Club Turf Equipment Technician Position

Job Description:

Loudoun Golf & Country Club is presently accepting resumes for the Turf Equipment Technician position that is available. This role reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and will work alongside 2 Assistant Golf Course Superintendents. Proficient candidates will maintain a strong work ethic and ability to work well with others. We are seeking a self-motivated, ambitious individual who is able to do whatever is necessary to the finish the task accordingly. The Turf Equipment Technician will operate and manage the maintenance facility in the most efficient, effective, and safe way possible.

Current Turf Equipment Technician is retiring from the golf course industry after over 20 years in the business. The newly hired applicant will have the opportunity to speak with and use him as a sounding board during the transition phase. 

Special Requirements:

•        Maintain & execute a preventative maintenance program on all golf course equipment

•        Properly budget & purchase parts necessary to maintain inventory and complete repairs to ensure equipment is ready for use on a daily basis

•        Achieve reel & rotary blade grinding, sharpening, and setup

•        Oversee maintenance shop organization, safety, and cleanliness

•        Proficiency in the use of a variety of equipment repair tools as well as the making of various types of mechanical repair supplies

•        Strength in diagnosing mechanical failures while appropriately determining the correct action of repair

•        Assist agronomy management team in operating, training, and safety of all turf equipment

•        Involved knowledge of light & heavy turf maintenance equipment

•        Ability to communicate effectively & keep organized business records

•        Capability of working in a variety of weather conditions to complete equipment repairs as necessary

•        Knowledge and / or ability to play the game of golf to understand how job performance affects the playing conditions of the golf course

Educational Requirements:

Minimum high school diploma

Experience Requirements:

Turf Equipment Technician experience strongly preferred

Salary:

$50,000-$65,000: Depending On Experience
