Mark Luffy, an independent consultant, will join us at Chevy Chase Club on Wednesday, September 15. He will be discussing all facets of reel cutting units including configuration of future capital purchases based on the variety of grass and height of cut range. There will be a PowerPoint presentation in the morning, lunch, then hands on adjustments/grinding in the afternoon along with a shop tour/open forum. The will be a great event for equipment managers to get a hands on learning experience along with great networking.

About Mark Luffy
Mark Luffy has been associated with the turf industry for over 30 years. He began his professional career as a Pittsburgh area golf course laborer/mechanic in the mid 1980’s. Since 1995, Mark has held turf distributor management positions for award winning distributors (Toro, Jacobsen and John Deere) throughout the mid-Atlantic region. During his tenure Mark received several “Best in Service Awards” and “Master Technician Certification” status.
Currently, Mark is a private turf equipment optimization and training consultant, working with select John Deere distributors. He utilizes his vast experience to assist distributor sales and service in areas such as, customer/product issue resolution, event support, product presentation, demonstration support and technician training seminars.
Mark attended Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics and received an Associate’s Degree in Specialized Technology of Airframe & Powerplant Maintenance, and received his FAA Certification Airframe & Powerplant mechanic license in 1991.
In the past years Mark has provided equipment training for the students enrolled in Penn State Turfgrass program.
