BMPs For Maryland Golf Courses
The Golf Club at Lansdowne is looking to fill a Superintendent position on the Jones Course with a self-starting, highly motivated, and creative candidate. This candidate should currently be a Superintendent or an assistant Superintendent for two years. The Golf Club at Lansdowne is a private 45-hole facility attached to a 4-star resort. The club has roughly 600 plus members and is constantly growing monthly. The courses include a 1989 RTJ II design course, a 2004 Greg Norman championship design course, and a spin-off of the Norman design nine-hole course called Sharkbite. The property covers around 485 acres and runs alongside the Potomac River in scenic upper Loudoun County.
The Jones design course features Bent/Poa sand-based greens with Meyer Zoysia grass fairways and Penncross tee boxes. It's irrigated by a Toro lynx controlled central on the Osmaic controller.
