Event Overview
The Annual Championship will crown the MAAGCS champion golfer of the year. Jeff Rice of Oak Creek Golf Club is the defending champion after winning his 5th consecutive title in 2021 at U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club. Get your games in shape for this fun day. As always this will be a spectacular event with networking, good food, prizes and fun competition
Course Overview
The 2022 MAAGCS Annual Championship is being hosted by MAAGCS President Chris Fernandes at Rolling Road Golf Club. The golf course, was built in 1919 by two-time British Open winner, world renowned golf course architect, and World Golf Hall of Fame inductee, Willie Park Jr. Set on 100 acres of historic land, the course makes its way through mature trees and unique elevation changes. Built on bent and poa annua grass, Rolling Road maintains its difficulty through tight fairways and fast, contoured greens. The golf course recently underwent an extensive bunker renovation, bringing the course back to the original design concepts put in place by Willie Park Jr. Designer Joel Weiman captured the uniqueness of the 100 year old Willie Park Jr. course, and the McDonald and Son’s crew constructed the bunkers as if they were always there.
