MAAGCS is dedicated to raising the awareness of the golf course superintendent profession in the Mid-Atlantic. Outreach to young students has become a priority of the MAAGCS and it is important that we engage with them while the are searching for what might become their career after high school and college.  What better profession to choose than turf management on a golf course?

The video below was created by MAAGCS and highlights crew members, students and assistant superintendents, and what it means to them to be working in golf course turf management. It also points out the importance of STEM education and gives real life examples of how turf managers use STEM to perform daily tasks.

#getgrowing, our outreach campaign tagline is catchy and fitting. The message applies to growing grass as a turf professional in addition to growing personally and professionally. MAAGCS intends to use this video as an outreach tool at career days and job fairs as well as part of the outreach program.
