In 2020, the Assistant Golf Course Superintendents from VGCSA and MAAGCS teamed up to share ideas, network, and build new friendships at the Assistants Forum. The event was a tremendous success, and we're excited to announce its return!
Join us as the leaders of the Assistants Committee, Austin Kaval (Lansdowne Resort & Spa) and Luke Simon (Chevy Chase Club), host an incredible day filled with golf, education, and networking at the beautiful Lansdowne Resort & Spa.
Our all-star panel will delve into key topics such as effective management of a green staff, the interviewing process for aspiring superintendents, preparing for a tour event and much more. This is a must-attend event for assistant superintendents and crew members eager to enhance their skills and expand their professional network.

Lansdowne Resort Greg Norman Course
Designed by the legendary “Great White Shark,” this Greg Norman golf course incorporates the undulations of its setting along the Potomac River. The 7,332-yard par-72 golf course winds through a mature hardwood forest and beside rocky outcroppings. Those natural elements combine with historic sites on the 3rd and 4th holes to form the course’s distinct character using Norman’s “Least Disturbance Approach” to design. Upon its opening in 2005, Golf Magazine named this course one of the “Top 10 New Courses You Can Play.”
