    Golf at Stonehenge

Great Richmond golf finds its home at Stonehenge Golf and Country Club. More than a quarter-century ago, the late Edmund Ault, noted designer for such premier golf clubs as the Army Navy Golf Club in Arlington, Virginia, and the Country Club of Virginia’s Tuckahoe Course was engaged to create Stonehenge’s 18 holes of championship Richmond golf. The Stonehenge Golf and Country Club golf course has achieved designation as a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, an Audubon International program. Robert Friend, Course Superintendent, has led the effort to obtain sanctuary status on this course and is being recognized for Environmental Stewardship by Audubon International. Stonehenge Golf and Country Club is the 29th course in Virginia and the 838th in the world to receive the honor.
