Position: Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Education: 2-4 year degree or certificate from an accredited Turfgrass Management Program, or working towards a degree or certificate, preferred.
Operation: Rolling Golf Club is an 18-hole property sitting on 90 acres with bentgrass greens, tees and fairways including practice green and short game area. In 2020 Rolling Road underwent renovations including all bunkers, green surrounds, new practice facilities, lengthening of the course and creek restoration. Future projects include irrigation updates, irrigation expansions, fairway conversion, halfway house and shop upgrades.
Budget: Annual Operating and Payroll Expenses $1,100,000
Duties: Golf course management, planning and prioritizing day-to-day operation, oversee chemical/fertilizer applications and irrigation repair, train/supervise up to 15 employees, maintain clubhouse and pool grounds

Annual Base Salary: $60,000+ D.O.E.

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years golf course experience
- Must be able to obtain MD pesticide and fertilizer licenses with in the first 90 days
- Knowledge of the game of golf
- Ability to efficiently schedule and supervise work
- Assist in planning and scheduling the maintenance of all playing surfaces
- Train employees on safe and efficient equipment operations
- Plan and supervise daily operations
- Repair, maintenance and scheduling of irrigation system
- Assist in calibration and application of all fertilizers and pesticides
- Ensure all safety requirements are being followed
- Spanish speaking is a plus
