Position: Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Operation: Rolling Golf Club is an 18 hole property sitting on 90 acres. Bentgrass greens, tees and fairways including practice green and short game area. Irrigation system is double row with Rain Bird Central and heads with 2 Sycroflow pump stations.
Budget: Annual Operating and Payroll Expenses $875,000
Duties: Golf course management, planning and prioritizing day-to-day operation, oversee chemical/fertilizer applications and irrigation repair, train/supervise up to 15 employees, maintain clubhouse and pool grounds.
Responsible to: Chris Fernandes, Golf Course Superintendent
Annual Base Salary: $50,000+ D.O.E.

Education: 2-4 year degree or certificate from an accredited Turfgrass Management Program
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years golf course experience
- Must be able to obtain MD pesticide license with in the first 60 days
- Knowledge of the game of golf
- Ability to efficiently schedule and supervise work
- Supervise, manage and train 15 or more employees
- Assist in planning and scheduling the maintenance of all playing surfaces
- Train employees on safe and efficient equipment operations
- Plan and supervise daily operations
- Repair, maintenance and scheduling of irrigation system
- Assist in calibration and application of all fertilizers and pesticides
- Ensure all safety requirements are being followed
- Spanish speaking is a plus
