Compensation: Salary Range $55,000 - $65,000, full benefits package

About the Course
Heritage Hunt Golf & Country Club is located minutes from interstate 66 at route 29 in Gainesville, Virginia within a pristinely manicured gated community of 750 acres. The Heritage Hunt community has been a premier home site on the Eastern Seaboard for several years and boasts a private 18-hole championship signature Arthur Hills designed golf course with six tee locations that measures 6,938 yards from the tips. The golf course is recognized as a true favorite of Northern Virginia, and was recently awarded “Best Golf Course” for the State of Virginia by Virginia Living magazine.
Role: Virtually all equipment is 5 years or less in age as we are on 5-year replacement program.
The equipment mechanic reports to the golf course superintendent and oversees a comprehensive maintenance program. This program includes the repair of failing equipment, keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment, placing orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment or service, maintaining an excellent quality of cut on all mowing equipment. The equipment mechanic properly communicates any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the superintendent and/or the assistant superintendent, and schedules and directs the work assignments of the assistant equipment mechanic. The equipment mechanic places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building.
