Job Announcement: Equipment Manager
Due to the creation of a new support role and employees’ promotion & transfer at the Montgomery County Revenue Authority (MCRA), an exciting opportunity is now available to join our dynamic and nationally recognized team!
MCRA was established in 1957 as an instrumentality of Montgomery County and a public corporation. The MCRA has two primary functions, one is to operate self-supporting public facilities, and the other is to finance public facilities. On the operations side, the MCRA directly manages the Golf Course System (of 9 golf courses) and The Crossvines wine production facility and vineyard, and operates the Montgomery County Airpark.
Our Laytonsville Golf Course, located in Laytonsville, MD, has an immediate opening for a full-time Equipment Manager at $27 - $35/hour to manage the repair and maintenance of the equipment fleet used to maintain the golf course and grounds. The Equipment Manager will report to the Golf Course Superintendent.
Essential duties and responsibilities of the Equipment Manager include broadly, but are not limited to:
- Support a clean and safe work environment.
o Laytonsville is committed to a clean and safe workplace and the equipment manager plays a key role in achieving our workplace safety goals.
- Manage an organized preventative maintenance program.
o Preventative maintenance is key to the longevity and overall performance of the equipment used at Laytonsville. The Equipment Manager will be provided with the tools necessary to perform the job and document all repair & maintenance activities.
- Maintaining equipment daily.
o The equipment scheduled for use each day must be in good working order.
- Communicate frequently with the Golf Course Superintendent.
o Together, you will work to ensure the needs of the equipment fleet are being supported and addressed. The goal is also to keep working towards a common vision for the future of the operation.
- Assist the management team in training staff in the safe operation of equipment, and also in helping complete tasks on the golf course as the demand arises.
