 Is Hiring for a… “Golf Course Mechanic”

Position Summary

Performs tasks involved with the maintenance and repair of all course owned equipment.

Position Responsibilities

This description includes, but is not necessarily limited to the duties and responsibilities noted below:

• Record keeping of all maintenance on equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, golf carts, range picker, and beverage carts
• Record keeping of preventative maintenance on golf cart fleet
• Repair of all equipment and golf carts
• Filing and organizing of all equipment and cart manuals
• Sharpening of blades, reels and bedknives on all mowers
• Height of cut and reel to bedknife adjustments on all mowers
• Parts ordering when approved by supervisor
• Price comparison on all related parts and materials before ordering
• Inspection of equipment performance in the field
• Course work when needed
• Clean and organize shop and equipment storage areas
• Organize parts room and tool storage areas
• Repair of related equipment in Clubhouse
• Monitor gas and fuel levels in storage tanks
• Attending seminars and training sessions on quality maintenance procedures for equipment
• Inspect all related deliveries to insure proper parts and quantities
• Assure proper disposal of all related hazardous materials
• Some training with equipment operation, reel and blade sharpening, and mower adjustments
• Good understanding of the game of golf

Reports to
Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Golf Course Superintendents

Supervises
Occasional supervisory duties in absence of Golf Course Superintendent and/or Assistant Golf Course Superintendents

Working Conditions

Works indoors and outdoors.  Potential exposure to inclement weather, potentially dangerous chemicals, solvents, pesticides, and fertilizers, exposed to sharp and rapid equipment movements on a daily basis. Injury may occur as a result of exposure to the above if safety procedures are not properly followed at all times.

$25-$30/hour …Based on Prior Experience and Knowledge
