- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in turfgrass management, horticulture, or related field
- Previous experience working on a golf course maintenance team
- Knowledge of turfgrass maintenance practices and agronomy
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and equipment
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain one
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
As an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, you will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure the efficient maintenance and operation of the golf course. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily course maintenance, manage a team of groundskeepers, and implementing turf management programs. You will assist in supervising irrigation systems, pesticide applications, and equipment maintenance. Additionally, you will help develop budgets, schedule maintenance tasks, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for golf course management.
Salary: $55,000- $62,000
