The Mid-Atlantic Association of Golf Course Superintendents (MAAGCS) is proud to announce that Ryan S. Kraushofer, CGCS, has been elected to the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) Board of Directors. His election took place at the 2025 GCSAA Annual Meeting in San Diego, marking a significant achievement in his distinguished career.
Kraushofer, a dedicated 22-year GCSAA member, has been an integral part of the golf course management community, serving as superintendent and general manager at Westminster National Golf Course in Westminster, Md., since 2008. His career also includes experience as an assistant superintendent at The Timbers at Troy in Ilchester, Md., and Oakmont Green Golf Course in Hampstead, Md.
A leader in the industry, Kraushofer previously served as president of MAAGCS in 2019 and 2020, playing a pivotal role in advancing the association’s mission. His commitment extends beyond the Mid-Atlantic, as he is actively involved in GCSAA initiatives, serving as a First Green Liaison and participating in various task groups and committees, including the First Green Task Group, Scholars Competition Task Group, and Certification Committee.
Kraushofer holds an associate’s degree in turfgrass management from the University of Maryland and remains dedicated to the education and development of future turfgrass professionals. He resides in Westminster, Md., where he continues to make an impact on the golf course industry.
